BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

Police in Birmingham are investigating a domestic homicide on 4th Court West.

The shooting happened around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

Investigators said Tedarius Montez Seawright entered the apartment of his ex-friend.

A physical altercation then broke out between Seawright and another man who was inside the home.

During the fight, police say the other man inside the home shot and killed Seawright.

The man remained at the apartment and is being questioned by the police.

This is the 57th murder investigation in Birmingham in 2025.
