A Prospect Park man entered a negotiated waiver Monday on assault and related charges for a violent July 7 episode inside the Marathon gas station at 800 Chester Pike.

Brian Taylor, 35, is accused of entering the market that day with a bat and randomly attacking another person.

He waived on charges of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony, as well as misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment and institutional vandalism.

Assistant District Attorney Dareus Chen and defense counsel Wana Saadzoi also agreed to withdraw a disorderly conduct charge and summary offenses for public drunkenness and harassment, contingent upon a nontrial disposition at Common Pleas Court.
