Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) blasted Russia's overnight drone encroachment into Poland's airspace as an "act of war," and called on President Trump to levy tougher sanctions on Moscow over the incursion.

"Russia is attacking NATO ally Poland with Iranian shahed drones less than a week after President Trump hosted [Polish] President [Karol] Nawrocki at the White House," Wilson wrote in a Tuesday night post on the social platform X.

"This is an act of war, and we are grateful to NATO allies for their swift response to war criminal [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s continued unprovoked aggression against free and productive nations," he added.
