Grammarly built its reputation on being a tool for checking spelling, grammar, and writing tips in English. The company is now expanding the scope of these features to support five more languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian.

The company said it will now suggest paragraph-level rewrites for tone, style, and flow for the new languages. Users writing in any of these five languages, as well as English, will also be able to translate text in-line in 19 languages . The multilingual writing feature is available for all free and paid users.
