NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - As part of the ongoing investigation into the death of 12-year-old Bryan Vasquez, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries trapped an alligator in the lagoon on Sevres Street.

The animal was transported to a facility in Lacombe for dissection. During that process, what are believed to be human remains were recovered. Those remains were turned over to the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office for official identification.
