ALTOONA, Pa. — Stopping at Sheetz for a candy bar? Better prepare to pay a little more.

The Altoona-based convenience store chain said the price of some candy bars in its stores would be going up after Hershey's raised prices.

Hershey's announced in July that due to rising cocoa prices, the central Pa. candy-maker would be raising prices by double digits.

The cost of cocoa has jumped recently due to high temperatures and poor weather in West Africa, which produces more than 70% of the global cocoa supply.

This week, Sheetz said that the prices of Hershey products in their stores would be adjusted later this month.

"Effective September 17, 2025, Sheetz will increase pricing on select Hershey products," Sheetz Public Affairs Manager Nick Ruffner said. "This change is in response to a
