HARRISBURG, Pa. — The family of Faiz Sharif, the six-year-old boy seriously injured at the Kipona Festival on Sept. 1, stated that he has begun to show signs of improvement in his recovery.

An update from the family on Faiz's GoFundMe page said that his breathing tube was removed and he has started to stabilize after several days in a coma.

The update also said Faiz opened his eyes and showed basic signs of awareness. He remains in serious condition but has shown positive steps in his road to recovery, according to the post.
