UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is being pressured to sack Britain's ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson amid growing scrutiny over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It comes after US lawmakers released Epstein's 50th "birthday book" which included a letter from the now-ambassador describing Epstein as "my best pal".
Lord Mandelson has since told Britain's Sun newspaper he deeply regrets ever meeting Epstein and that he had carried on that association "for far longer than I should have done".
Mr Starmer was questioned by leader of the opposition Kemi Badenoch in parliament on Wednesday, local time, over reports that when Lord Mandelson was business secretary in 2010, Epstein reportedly brokered a billion-pound business deal with him over the sale of a UK ta
