Connor Copse has been jailed for more than 12 years
An uninsured, unlicensed, off-road biker killed a grandfather-of-14 when he careered head-on into him going the wrong way round a traffic island following a high-speed police chase. Nottingham Crown Court heard how Connor Copse had been doing more than 75mph before he struck 68-year-old motorcyclist Kevin Peacock, described by his son as “the glue who held our family together”.
At the time the 25-year-old, of Aspley, was on bail for a catalogue of controlling behaviour against a former partner and mother of his child. Now he will spend the next 12 years and four months behind bars for his raft of offending.
