Canada's Wonderland has a new policy for its Halloween Haunt event: teens 15 years old or younger will need a chaperone to enter after 6 p.m.

Chaperones must be 21 or older, must provide identification at the entrance and can accompany a maximum of 10 people, according to the park's conduct policy and guidelines. Those who are 16 or older with no identification may be denied entry, the park said.

The policy is not in response to a specific incident and it will only be in place for the Halloween Haunt, said spokesperson Grace Peacock via email.

"A safe, family-friendly atmosphere is the type of experience our guests expect and deserve at Canada's Wonderland," Peacock said.
