The Medomak Varsity girls took the early lead with 23:17 left on the clock when Summer Staples found the back of the net off a pass from Scarlett Flint. Then about 16 minutes later, at the 7:17 minute mark, Medomak was able to put the ball into the back of the net again. Flint took a shout outside the 18, it was deflected by a Waterville defender where Anna Cheesman found the deflection and put it low and away giving Medomak a 2-0 lead. During the first half there was a long ball for Waterville where it was a race between goalie Chloe Fox and a Waterville front line girl, both girls missed the ball and there was a collision outside the 18, resulting in Fox getting a yellow card.
