The National Television Awards host Joel Dommett mistakenly insisted that he and his wife Hannah Cooper had divorced, while mentioning their wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Ahead of fronting the live ITV event for the fifth time, the 40-year-old joined Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on their Heart Breakfast Show to talk about the annual event.

During the discussion, Joel, 40, said it was "the maddest week" of his life every year, due to hosting the award show, celebrating his wedding anniversary and his baby boy's birthday.

In response, Amanda and Jamie congratulated Joel on his anniversary, but what came next took them by surprise.
