Syracuse, N.Y. ― An Onondaga County Judge has shut down a prosecutor’s late application to present evidence that three men accused of a double murder in Syracuse are gang members.
LaShawn Dixon, Donnell Thornton, and Jamel Weston are accused of killing Alexis Sellin, 32, and Jami Crawford, 46, after breaking into an apartment at 3101 Burnet Ave. with the intention to rob them, according to an indictment filed against them.
The killers of the man and woman in the summer of 2022 left a disabled boy alone with the bodies for 3 days.
Prosecutor Alphonse Williams made an application to the court seeking to introduce evidence that the three men are members of the 110 gang.
