SAN ANTONIO — A man faces stalking charges, accused of sending dozens of "harassing and obsessive" messages to the wife of San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, according to an arrest affidavit.

Jail records show 29-year-old Roger Craig Vittitoe was arrested Saturday in Hidalgo County. He is accused of engaging in repeated and unwanted electronic communications with the victim, Lourdes McManus, in an attempt to speak with her husband.

Investigators said last week, Vittitoe contacted the victim more than 24 times over a 72-hour period, sending repeated voice and text messages that she claims were obsessive, harassing and alarming in nature.
