AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approved a permit Tuesday morning allowing Golden Triangle Polymers to discharge up to 5.15 million gallons per day of wastewater from its planned polymer production facility in Orange County.

The commission granted the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit during its morning meeting, authorizing the discharge of "process wastewater, utility wastewater, and stormwater" from the integrated polymers production facility located at 850 Foreman Road, southwest of Orange.

The facility will discharge the wastewater through a single outfall point into the Sabine River under the permit.
