Oxford County has received a one-time grant of nearly $110,000 for the Dedicated Offload Nurses Program.

The program – created by the province to help hospitals hire more nurses and other eligible health professionals dedicated to offloading ambulance patients in hospital emergency departments – will be implemented at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

The program was originally established to assist hospitals in larger centres but has expanded to rural areas in recent months.
