Police said they are looking for a potentially armed Franklin County man who cut off his ankle monitor and said he’d attempt “suicide by cop” if he is found.

Robert Guilfoyle’s roommates in Hamilton Township told troopers he’d been drinking alcohol, and they discovered a large kitchen knife was missing after he left the house, Pennsylvania State Police said in a Tuesday evening news release.

Guilfoyle, 22, told Franklin County probation officers over the phone that he was on foot and would not turn himself in, state police said.

State police said Guilfoyle has active arrest warrants for violating probation and escape.
