Purdue football will always welcome Gary Danielson back as a Cradle of Quarterbacks member and an alum who enhanced his reputation in the NFL and as a broadcaster.

After last season, though, Danielson wondered if the Boilermakers might declare him persona non grata. He and Brad Nessler were on the CBS broadcasts for losses to Notre Dame (66-7) and Penn State (49-10) .
