CINCINNATI, Ohio — One of the most unique NFL draft prospects in recent history will be on the field at Paycor Stadium when the Bengals host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

But Jaguars two-way player Travis Hunter very nearly could have been playing on the other side of the state of Ohio.

Up until the Cleveland Browns went on the clock with the second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they had been linked to last season’s Heisman Trophy winner.

However, the Browns got a trade offer from the Jaguars that they couldn’t refuse, getting an extra second-round pick and, more importantly for them, a first-round pick in 2026 to slide down three spots and give Jacksonville a chance to take Hunter.
