Carter George and Jake Crawford are off to sunny Los Angeles to take part in training camp with the Kings.

The duo are two of the dozen or so players with ties to Owen Sound’s Ontario Hockey League club who will take part in NHL camps.

George, 19, was selected by the Kings with the 57th-overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. He got his first taste of pro hockey this past season when he started two games with the King’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Ontario Reign. George posted an impressive .984 save percentage and recorded a shutout.

Jake Crawford is attending the Kings’ camp as an undrafted free agent. Former Attack’er Kaleb Lawerence will also be in town as a seventh-round pick of the Kings.
