NORMAN — Injured wide receiver Javonnie Gibson has been present and engaged for Oklahoma’s first two games of the 2025 season.

The Arkansas-Pine Bluff transfer is still working back from breaking his leg during spring practice and undergoing surgery, but based on his level of pregame activity and in-game energy, it seems as though he might not be far off.

Head coach Brent Venables was asked Wednesday on the Southeastern Conference coaches teleconference about Gibson’s rehab progress. Is Gibson any closer to making his OU debut?
