Tamara Hughes Gustavson, the largest shareholder of Public Storage, made this year's Forbes' 400 Richest People in America list, ranking at No. 118. Gustavson was previously ranked No. 251 on the Forbes 400 in August 2022 with a net worth of $8 billion. Her current net worth is $9.1 billion, according to Forbes.
Her father, B. Wayne Hughes, cofounded Public Storage in 1972.
Additionally, Gustavson and her brother, Eric, own Spendthrift Farm in Lexington. The farm is home to 10 Kentucky Derby winners, including Authentic who won the 146th Derby in September 2020 and was trained by Bob Baffert.
