A watchdog agency contends a Camden firm has improperly amassed power over health insurance funds for public employees.
Conner Strong & Buckelew (CSB) and a related entity, PERMA, have operated "with minimal oversight and limited awareness among the local officials responsible for safeguarding those funds," according to the Office of the State Comptroller .
The agency's 21-page report alleges conflicts of interest and procurement violations for health insurance funds (HIFs) that collectively serve multiple school boards and local governments.
