Raw, poetic and devastating, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre ’s take on “The Glass Menagerie” — the company’s last production of the 2025 SummerStage season — delivers on the lofty legacy of the show that put playwright Tennessee Williams on the map.

Drawing from the challenges of Williams’ Depression-era childhood, the play is a tense 1930s family portrait of an overbearing mother, Amanda Wingfield (Laurie Pascale), and her two adult children, Tom (Greg Myhre) and Laura (Margaux Wellman), the three of whom live together in a cramped St. Louis apartment.
