FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia has seen an unusual streak of Powerball luck, with five tickets worth $50,000 or more sold in the past two weeks.
The latest winning ticket, which matched four numbers plus the Powerball in Monday’s drawing, was purchased at Fayette Convenience Center on Route 19 and Hinkle Road in Fayetteville, lottery officials confirmed.
In addition to the recent Fayetteville winner, two other $50,000 tickets remain unclaimed, including one sold in Morgantown.
West Virginia has also had a $100,000 iPlay ticket and a $1 million ticket sold in Hedgesville that have yet to be claimed.
Lottery officials urge winners to contact the West Virginia Lottery office at 304-558-0500 for instructions on claiming their prizes.
