Candidates vying for collector’s seat to be narrowed in Tuesday’s primaries

CHICOPEE — After Tuesday, only two of the three people vying for the post of city collector in Chicopee will be in the running for the position.

The upcoming primary election on Sept. 16 will feature only the contested collector’s race between businessman Rajesh “Raj” Sanghvi, career nurse Sandra Ann Peret, and longtime City Councilor Fred T. Krampits, according to the Registrar of Voters office.
