For three years, Bianca Bromley lived in her car . For four years, she said she's been on the wait list for housing.

She's also been applying for private rentals during this time and said that with pets and no rental history, it feels hopeless.

"I'm still having trouble finding a place. It doesn't matter what I do, I still get rejected," Ms Bromley said.

Ms Bromley said experiencing long-term homelessness came with constant stress and it had affected her mental health significantly.

"It's stressful, it makes you want to cry, it can be very cold ," she said.

"You spend all your money on car parking, to get your washing done. If you don't work, it's even harder."
