MIDDLEBURY CENTER, P.a.(WETM)--- With food insecurity affecting many families around the country, local food banks are becoming even more important for communities.

"When I first began three years ago at my mother's side I have to be honest even though I am an older fellow I had to turn the corner and pull myself together because I just burst into tears it's just overwhelming to see people there not here because they've got nothing else better to do," said David Boley, Food Bank Organizer.

Organizers say they have experienced having to get food from a food pantry.
