KINGSBURG, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Kingsburg Fire Department is welcoming a new addition to its fleet later this month.
The fire department will be hosting a traditional "Push-In Ceremony" on Sept. 26.
According to Kingsburg Fire, the "Push-In Ceremony" dates back to the 1800s when fire crews manually pushed fire apparatus into the station. It serves as a symbolic tradition of welcoming new equipment into service and recognizing ongoing investments in public safety and emergency response capabilities.
The event will include the brand-new fire engine on display, fire station tours, firefighting equipment demonstrations, family-friendly photo opportunities, and a meet-and-greet with firefighters.
Kingsburg Fire says that placing this new engine into service represents a major upgrade to
