PITTSBURGH —

Nearly 100 people gathered at the city council building in Pittsburgh to advocate for affordable housing, participating in a rally and march before a public hearing led by the Pittsburgh Housing Justice Table.

"We want people to feel energized and hopeful, and we want to show City Council the voice of the people, and we feel that we represent that today," said Maddy McGrady from the Pittsburgh Housing Justice Table. Advertisement

Community members and advocates marched into the council chambers in solidarity, with nearly 100 people registered to speak. Among them was Alisa Grishman, who emphasized the need for accessible housing for people with disabilities.
