CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says he's not taking the Bears' decision to build a stadium outside of Chicago personally.

On Monday, Bears CEO Kevin Warren said the team is focused on building a new stadium in Arlington Heights.

Mayor Johnson did not speak Wednesday about the possible future of Soldier Field.

Also on Wednesday, the Bears announced DePaul University as the team's Proud University Partner. The partnership is meant to give students career development opportunities and exposure to the business.

Chicago Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren reiterated in a letter to fans the day of the home opener that the team is dedicated to building a new stadium in Arlington Heights.
