President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon announced that Charlie Kirk, the Turning Point USA founder and talk show host, has died after being shot at the his American Comeback Tour event held at Utah Valley University earlier in the day. 

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead," Trump announced Kirk's passing in a post to his social media platform. "He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
