Jenkins said she’s running to address affordability in Florida. She wants families to be able to afford day care and groceries. As an educator and the wife of a teacher, she said she’s passionate about ensuring public education is properly funded.
Jenkins previously made headlines after defeating a now-Moms for Liberty co-founder in 2020. She later faced criticism from parental rights activists over her COVID-19 precautions and other policies.
