That’s the message from Dallas homeowners to the city council on Wednesday, as the city’s sanitation department works on ending alley trash pickup for thousands of homes early next year, in favor of curbside pickup.
Dozens of homeowners, primarily from District 13, which covers parts of North Dallas, arrived at Dallas City Hall and spoke against the Department of Sanitation Services’ plan to transition approximately 26,000 homes from alley to curbside trash pickup, starting next January.
“If the city gives up on our alleys, what are we supposed to do,” Jeris Queen said during public comment.
