By Wednesday each week, when University of Northern Colorado football coach Ed Lamb holds his weekly media session, the Bears have put the previous week opponent in the past and are paying attention to the upcoming game.

This week is no different for the program, despite the much-discussed ending of the Colorado State game in Fort Collins last Saturday night. CSU pulled out a 21-17 win, in part, on an overturned UNC touchdown with eight seconds to play.

Lamb and the Bears visit Football Championship Subdivision 20th-ranked South Dakota on the road Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is noon Mountain Time from the DakotaDome in Vermillion, South Dakota. The game will be available on ESPN+ and Pirate Radio 93.5 FM.

The game is the home opener for 0-2 South Dakota, a member of the Missouri Valley
