It looks like we're in for quite a warm-up as we head through the week here in Lafayette and across much of northern Indiana and the Ohio Valley.
We've been keeping a close eye on the patterns, and the data is showing a significant warming trend on the horizon. Temperatures are gradually climbing, and by Saturday, we're expecting highs to reach near the 90-degree mark, which is certainly warmer than our typical late-season weather.
We are also seeing a mostly dry forecast unfolding for us outside of some slight rain chances this weekend. This lack of widespread rain could mean that drought conditions, which may have been developing, might continue to expand as we move into next week.
