Lamar Jackson apologized to the fan he shoved in Buffalo on Sunday night after the individual hit him in the helmet during a touchdown celebration in the second half of the game, but also suggested the fan “just chill next time.”
Jackson, the two-time NFL MVP, was celebrating after an impressive touchdown throw to receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the third quarter when a fan, who has not been publicly identified, hit Hopkins and then Jackson in the helmet as they went by the front row inside Highmark Stadium.
Speaking with reporters Wednesday, Jackson, 28, said he didn’t try to push the fan, but that “it just happened” after the initial contact.
