An Oahu grand jury indicted a 38-year-old Halawa man today for second-degree murder in the death of his 43-year-old wife.

Frank Julio Bright allegedly used a tomahawk blade to kill Aimee Takaki.

Takaki died of multiple chop wounds to her head and neck.

Bright is being held without bail at the Oahu Community Correctional Center.

“We want to commend the officers and detectives of the Honolulu Police Department for their investigation in this case,” Honolulu Prosecutor Steve Alm said. “The loss of Aimee Takaki’s life will be felt by her loved ones and our office will work hard to see that justice is served.”
