SALT LAKE CITY — In the hours following the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, several vigils were organized to help people gather in memory of the conservative activist.

Vigils were scheduled to take place at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City and at the Orem City Center Park.

Kirk was shot and killed while speaking on the campus of Utah Valley University. A suspect remains at large as the FBI has apprehended and released two individuals at separate times following interrogations.
