New York City pols strutted their stuff down the catwalk Wednesday in a bipartisan New York Fashion Week show “Style Across the Aisle,” spotlighting more than 30 local designers — but one group of elected officials was noticeably missing.
Mayoral hopeful and ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo , ex-Gov. David Paterson , Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine , and former Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney were among the top-billed politicians who sashayed the runway at New York County Surrogate’s Court.
“Today we’re kicking off fashion week and we’re raising money for a very important cause,” Maloney said while preparing for the show. 4
“Save the Garment District. Best in New York fashion [and it’s] a major industry for New York,” she added.
Cuomo’s competition, Mayor Eric Adams — who ho
