A $461,956 contract to install utilities at Triangle Sports Area was recommended to be given to Advance Construction Inc.

The contract is a stripped-back version of an unsuccessful bid that had been too expensive for the city.

The utility lines should be completed by Nov. 14, in time to make snow at Triangle Hill in early December.

A six-figure contract to install utilities at Triangle Sports Area, 500 Beverly Road, would move Green Bay one step closer to its end goal of consistent manmade snow at one of the city's most popular sledding and tubing hills often closed in the winter due to ever-diminishing days when it's cold enough for prolonged snow cover.
