DULUTH, Minn. – Hartley Nature Center is kicking off the 10-week Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer Training.

Volunteers sign up and complete the 40-hour hands-on course taught by expert instructors. The course consists of studying natural history, environmental interpretation, and conservation stewardship through both indoor and outdoor learning. This helps participants develop their ability to observe nature and learn tools to improve these skills.

“The goal is to get people in love and connected to our ecosystem here, so that then they can continue on as Master Naturalists who spend 40 hours volunteering every year or more, doing things that make a difference for our ecosystems, our environments, and partners like Hartley Nature Center,” said
