Philadelphia Eagles star defensive lineman Jalen Carter has been suspended for one game by the NFL for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott during the Eagles’ week one win on Thursday.
Carter, 24, was seen on video spitting on Prescott prior to the first snap of the NFL’s season-opening game last week. He was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected from the game.
Therefore, the NFL says that Carter has already served his one-game suspension, which was announced Tuesday. He will forfeit his $57,222 game check from week one as part of his punishment.
