A juvenile male died on Wednesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound that he sustained after shooting and injuring two fellow students at Evergreen High School, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

The two victims were hospitalized as a result of the shooting, which was reported shortly after noon in Evergreen, a quiet mountain town roughly 30 minutes west of Denver.

Investigators are processing “multiple scenes at the school,” both inside and outside the building, Jacki Kelley, a sheriff’s office spokesperson, said in a press conference. The weapon used in the shooting was a revolver, she said.
