GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Current and former ECU students are reacting to the fatal shooting of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
Charlie Kirk, 31, a Trump ally and founder of Turning Point USA, a youth organization was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
A prayer vigil was held on ECU’s campus in his honor by ECU’s Turning Point chapter, where students gathered to bow their heads for a moment of silence while holding candles.
Kirk held an event on ECU’s campus last October.
Students shared their grief and thoughts at the vigil.
