Strong winds have battered south-east Queensland, with gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour recorded at Brisbane Airport.
The strong winds hit the region late last night and continued on Thursday.
While the strongest gusts were recorded at the airport this morning, Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Shane Kennedy said winds between 40 and 60 kph were felt across the south-east.
Gusts of almost 60kph were recorded at Toowoomba Airport just after midnight.
The winds have been generated by a low-pressure system near the New South Wales coast.
Mr Kennedy said the conditions extended from the eastern Darling Downs across to Brisbane, with some winds affecting the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
