Moise Kean is said to be a striker that Manchester United seriously considered signing during the summer transfer window .

The club initially intended to sign Liam Delap around the same time as they agreed a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Matheus Cunha . Meeting the release clauses in their contracts would have cost a combined £92.5million, but Delap instead decided to join Chelsea for £30million.

United then spent more than double that amount on Benjamin Sesko . They had previously sounded out Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa and Viktor Gyokeres before Arsenal signed the Sweden international for £64million.

Italian online newspaper Tutto Juve claims United now 'regret' not signing Kean. They note that the former Everton forward had a £45million release clause
