Residents will have an opportunity to welcome local veterans home and thank them for all they’ve done as they return from their journey to Washington, D.C.

Two bus loads of veterans from around western Pennsylvania will be transported to Washington, D.C. by Honor Flight Pittsburgh, free of charge, so they can see the memorials that were built in honor of their service. The veterans will arrive by 10:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at North Way Christian Community Church in Pine Township, Allegheny County.
