A BBC expert has shed light on when individuals can expect to receive a crucial letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) detailing whether they will be eligible for a £300 payment this year. The winter fuel payment, which was previously scrapped in 2024 as a cost-saving measure, has been reinstated for nine million pensioners this winter. ‌
