EUGENE, Ore-- A nail bitter at the very end turned into cheers of joy at PK Wednesday evening.
After giving up two critical runs in the 9th inning, the Eugene Emeralds would close out a crucial Game 2 victory to even the NWL Championship Series at 1-1 with a 4-2 over the Everett Aquasox.
Through eight innings of work the Emeralds would hold the Aquasox scoreless, showcasing a level of depth in the bullpen that has been at the forefront of the organization during the second half of the season.
Starting pitcher Josh Bostick would throw six strong innings of work allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
